Project Opus Website Officially Launches

ProjectOpus.com officially launches. The management team forgoes the typical "Web 2.0 Beta? labeling as too cliché. The site is supported by a grass roots community that was started 100% from word of mouth during the previous prototype.

IRAP Funding Awarded

Donat Group's internal research project, Opus, receives a funding grant. The grant will fund the research and development of technologies which rely on user behaviors to filter content within a community of interest.

The core research addresses the issue that user profiles and stadard tagging are poor proxies for actual interests. While on-the-other-hand actual user behavior within a definable niche community does provide highly valuable and accurate filtering results.
