Project Opus™

Project Opus™ is a social network dedicated to distributing and marketing independent music.
Built on a proprietary music management system, Project Opus offers effective music licensing, distribution, sales, and tracking for musicians from around the globe. Similarly, it offers purchasing and music discovery features for audiophiles from around the world.
MTV licensed Project Opus' music management system in the spring of 2007.
Opus Player™

The Opus Player is a web based music player and mini store that can be placed on almost any website or blog. The Opus Player embraces social networking and addresses the fact that most music listeners are somewhere else.
The Opus Player offers a legal and open mechanism for sharing music. Let's make it easy to share and connect with those who are sharing music. Let's get music sharing above the radar where we can see it and can participate in it. With music sharing above the radar the artist stays connected with their music. They know what's happening to their music and can directly connect with the fans listening to and sharing their music.
DYLAN

DYLAN is a project to define an OPEN specification for digital music packages. It is an independent project coming out of the XIPF initiative started by Yahoo! Music. The goal of DYLAN and XIPF is to allow music downloads to support functionality beyond just listening.
Our goal is to offer music consumers a digital music experience equivalent to or greater than the experience of owning an album or CD. The project name DYLAN came from Digital (Y) Liner (A) Notes. However, we envision a much broader experience than simple replication liner notes and add-ons similar to those included with the purchase of physical albums and CDs.
DYLAN is a joint development project between Simon Fraser University and Project Opus Technologies Inc. Heritage Canada's New Media Fund is contributing $400,000 to the project. Yahoo! Music, is providing important non-financial support for the project.
Mixx Maker™

Mixx Maker™ is a social network widget that lets you create ‘Mixxs’ - digital mixtapes that you make with your friends. Originally an offshoot for JAMM research, Mixx Maker has developed into a full-fledged application with a life of its own.
With immediate plans on expanding beyond its Facebook roots, Mixx Maker will span across multiple social networks, allowing users to leverage their existing social graphs to create new ones.
The collaborate concept behind Mixx has been applauded by the music industry, receiving recognition from both Nettwerk Music Group and musicians as alike.
Project Opus Technologies was launched the inaugural release of Mixx Maker on Facebook in January 2008.
JAMM™

JAMM began as a research project with Simon Fraser University called DYLAN. Partially funded by Heritage Canada, JAMM set out to define an open specification for digital music packages as well as interfaces for authoring and playback. Originally part of Yahoo! Music's XIPF initiative, it now stands as an independent project.
JAMM is scheduled to launch as a private beta in March 2008. The core functionality present in JAMM in March will be the authoring environment focused on Web Play. Building music packages needs to be fun, because music is fun.
